About this speaker
Kaʻiulani Kauihou is from Mākaha and has degrees in Hawaiian Language and education. In 2011, Kaʻiulani founded the non-profit organization Hiʻohia to create authentic language and culture resources. In 2020, Hiʻohia published 40 titles. Kaʻiulani taught language and culture at Brigham Young University while earning a certificate in Entrepreneurship. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for over two decades and co-founded Native Grants LLC. She loves surfing, gardening and traveling with her family.
