Hawaii State FCU is proud to present the Family, Fraud & Finances session. This panel discussion is designed to provide valuable insights and practical advice on managing finances, recognizing fraud, and understanding the impact of financial decisions for you and the kupuna in our community.
Our distinguished Hawaii State FCU panelists bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from their respective fields:
· Vice President, Senior Branch Manager, Jessica Baricaua: Offers expertise from interactions with our members in the branches and seeing firsthand some of the challenges our kupuna experience. This includes the signs of financial exploitation, and the pro-active approach needed to protect elders.
· Chief Information Officer, Ben Mendes: Focuses on protecting the Hawaii State FCU members through secure online banking practices and safeguarding personal information.
· SVP Operations Division Manager, Genesis Nicklaw: Will share critical information on recognizing and preventing financial fraud that often targets the elderly.
· Communications and Engagement Manager, Jason Suapaia: Has been managing his parents’ caregiving needs for the past four years. He will share his personal experiences and highlight the connection between working in a financial institution and raising awareness of the silent challenges of elder parent care.
